406v2 mem question 1

Hi ....

Can anyone tell me when monitor says freemem 449 etc does it mean I will need to upgrade the memory? Is it like sticking a stick of memory in the unit? This is on a 406v2 unit

Thanks for the reply. I wasnt sure which version of the software I could goto. Im gonna try to set the unit up to my free sipgate account but I havnt done anything like this before so it will be a learning curve for me.

What version is the 406 now?
Count the digits that freemem shows.
When it is 7 digits (1625431 or similar) then you cannot go any higher then 3.2 and you will not be able to use sip trunks.

When it is 8 digits (43265748 or simular) then you can go up to 5.0 for free or 6.1 licensed.

4.0 is the first release where sip trunks are an option.
