406 V2 Which V3.0 Should be going on.

Having a bit of a row with a work collegue and wanting some clarification.

Its is 406 V2 obviously with the 8 onboard DS. But rest of expansion is DT30.

Any way helps if I post the actual query. Should it be V3 for DT OR FOR DS

if you follow the Avaya guide lines you are knackered

V3.0(DT) is for DT handsets only, No DS handsets.
V3.0(40) - No DT handsets

If you are not using the DS ports on the ip406V2, then I would say go for the DT version, But what exactly does V3.0DT give you that V2.1(31) dosnt?

Well its the Avaya guidline that are "knackered" then. V3.0(DT) supports DS phones, essentially working the same as 2.1(31).

3.0 is the only level which has a problem supporting any port type and that's DT ports.

I couldnt agree more V3.0(531) AKA DT seems to be nothing more than a rebadged V2.1(31) with trial licences added & therefore almost totaly pointless.
