403 error when accessing Shared Calendars externally

Users have reported that when accessing a shared calendar via Outlook Web Access that they get a 403 error. This does not occur when accessing the same calender within the LAN.

Configuration is 2x CA and 2x MS clusters.

Anyone seen this and/or know why it could be occuring?

Do you have port 80 and port 443 open to the CA?

403 is forbidden. You've not specified the firewall config but check if you are using TMG - rule will need editing to allow pass thru auth.

Check the IIS logs on the CAS to see what is happening or the firewall logs.

Worked it out.

For some reason when you copied the URL that is in IE to an email it's hyperlink was different to what was displayed.

In IE it shows as

https://webmail.domain.com/owa/cgs_calendar_js@domain.com/?cmd=contents&f=calendar

and this is what's displayed when pasting into an email but the underlying hyperlink was

https://webmail.domain.com/owa/redi...lendar_js@domain.com/?cmd=contents&f=calendar

Weird. Sometimes when copy/paste it would work correctly but other times it wouldn't. Just have to tell users to make sure it shows correctly in the address bar in IE.
