Hi all,

Bit of a strange one this. I have a 4000TN. If Tray 2 is left open and I send a job to print it receives the job and then immediately cancels it. I know it cancels it because it says cancelling job on the display. I don't have this problem if Tray 3 is open.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Gavin.

You may have tray2 set as default, meaning it tries to print from there. So if tray2 is open it tries to print from there, and cant sense if tray is empty or loaded and cancels the job.

This of course doesnt affect tray3 since if the printer tries to pick from tray2 it wont request tray3 to be loaded.

Change tray3 option to the default or preferred tray and then see if it cancels the job when tray3 is open and tray2 closed.. shouldnt print from tray3 then.

(tray1 could also be set as preferred, but if there is no paper loaded there, printer might want to pick from tray2, but normally picks from the lowest/biggest tray first if tray1 is empty)
