4000m problem

I have an HP Pro Curve 4000M with multiple gig ethernet adapters modules installed. The problems is when a server is rebooted that is attached to the gig adapters, the only way the server becomes reachable again after reboot is by unplugging and replugging the patch cable the server is hooked to. This is happening on multiple differnt server brands and NICS.

Try turning off STP.
