Need to configure 8 sites with 8 separate HiPath 4000 V 2.0 switches. All 8 will be using STMI V2 cards for IP trunking between them. All are administered from one site. I'm trying to decide whether to setup the STMI cards to be "remote" or "local" gateways. The main site (very large) will obviously be configured to be local but what about the others? Seems like they should be setup as remote but all anybody says is "its easier to configure when all are setup as local". I'm not concerned with the easy configuration, just the most efficient and solid network. The data network that I'm riding on is an MPLS backbone with plenty of bandwidth to handle the traffic. Any thoughts?
