We upgraded a BCM 400 to a 450, used migration manager. All the programming came over except 4 phones that lost a few buttons.

Our big trouble is the site to site 4 digit dialing. The calls still go to the other sites, but don't go to the right extensions. They are defaulting to the prime set. When I monitor another site and call it, I am only getting 3 digits instead of 4. I dial 3787 and on the far end it only shows 787 ? We have checked and re checked the old against the new and can see no differences. How do I get my 4th digit back?

Everything else seems to be working fine. Voicemail, internal dialing is fine, and the other locations can dial the correct extensions to this site.

The only other thing is that the status light is flashing, which according to the manual means a service is initializing, but I don't know what that is.

Thanks for any advice.

Look in dial plan under routes and look at the routes absorb digit it should be 0.

We looked there and that is how it is set. That is under the destination code, not the route itself right?

Check your public/private network settings. Private network may have defaulted to 3

I looked at that as well. It is set to 4. We applied the latest patches. Still no success.

are you looking at the Des code for digit 3.
If 3 is set to absorb ALL then change it to 0.

if 3 set to All, then when you dial 3787 it absorbs the 3 and sends 787

If 3 is set to 0,then when you dial 3787 it leaves the 3 alone and sends 3787

We got connected with Avaya support. We ran traces, they had me pull back ups and they set up test boxes in the lab. There boxes won't fail. The change they had me make that fixed it was under private networking. I changed network type from none to CDP. All other boxes on network set to none, but this worked.

Thanks for all the responses.
