My customer has a tratitional configuration with 2 VIOs on a P7 server. They have a mix of prod and qa vlans trunked into the VIOs with a mixture of LPARs. They want to bring up another pair of VIOs (3 and 4) and present only the qa vlans. They are also thinking that the qa vlans can be trunked into the qa VIOs without removing them from the prod VIOs by adjusting the SEA trunk priority.
I don't believe it is possible to present the same vlan on two different VIO pairs/SEAs on the same frame.
Also, is it possible to have 3 or more VIO servers participating in the same SEA or iscsi for load balancing?
Please point me toward documentation to confirm or refute this.
Thanks in advance.
