I have a server running 2003. I will be installing virtual PC and will run 4 virtual PCs from the server. On that same server, I will be installing software to monitor our production out on the floor. I'll also have 4 large TVs as displays. The server will have 2 dual video cards installed. Each TV will have a VGA cable connected to the server.

How do I split the video signal from the server to each of the TVs?

Thanks

If the Video Cards are dual Video cards then they'll do it for you.

Usually the driver software will have some type of Control Panel for the cards that will let you Split the signal amongst the outputs for the video cards.

Of course without knowing the make of the video cards, there not much more we can tell you.

Ignorance is not necessarily Bliss, case in point:
Unknown has caused an Unknown Error on Unknown and must be shutdown to prevent damage to Unknown.

I don't have the cards yet, but they will be dual video. At least I know it's possible now.
Once I get the cards installed and the server built. I'll check back in with you.

Thanks for your help.

We will probably be using a Jaton Video-558PCI-QLP as long as it will work with Server 2003.

Is this it?

If it is then its not dual, its a single display card. with a 4 way splitter cable. Since its Nivida based, the Software Control Panle should let you split the display into the 4 outputs. From only 1 card.

There's also this one:

Which has 2 outputs, and 2 Y splitters. Giving you again 4 displays in a single card.

I question why you are buying PCI cards? Does your server not have an AGP slot at least? Even better if it had PCI-ex16 slots.

The first link is what we were planning on buying. There is no AGP slot. I think it has PCI-ex16 slots. Do you have a pic that I could look at to compare?

Thanks

From top to bottom: PCIe slots x4, x16, x1, again x16, and a regular PCI slot for comparison:

Yea, they are in the server. Actually, in that pic where the x16 has the extender, mine actually have the "ports".

Well, that option is out. It doesn't support Server 2003.

Which option is out?

Using the JATON VIDEO-558PCI-QLP card. I emailed their support and they said that you can't use it with Server 2003.
We are now going to install 4 PCs on the production floor.
