No problem mate, should I also write a book for you about VB programming while I'm at it?

Please keep you questions simpler and more precise. If you have a concrete problem you are more than welcome to post and we'll try to help you.

Hi,
Thanks Unborn for your site help, but you know "Getting the code as required by a client is more important than a programmer imagination", nice still i appreciate if anybody could send me the material what i want, please don't write the books such a simple and small thing for an consultant/experience programmer

Waiting for the positive reply from the members

Regards

Hussaini, the people of this forum are not here to do your work for you, but we'll be glad to help with some specific problems. Examples of the type that you request are contained within the MSDN documentation, with Microsoft qualify explanations.

Once you have written some of your code, and your still having some problems, post the code that is giving you trouble, and the members here would most likely be glad to help you with specific questions. Good Luck

I recently added an FAQ to help resolve this problem. I would appreciate it if you and the other experienced guys/gals could review it and comment so I can edit and update as necessary (ref below) Let me know if this helps

johnwm - I read your FAQ, and I think you did a good job of covering the issues. I understand what you mean by item 6, but the wording is a bit confusing.

Also, you comment on the awarding of stars - Visitors can neither receive nor award stars - they won't see that link. Also, members who access threads thru email notification messages may not be able to see those links either.

Overall, tho it does address the issues quite well - the most important being - This is NOT a code-swap site - Choose a good subject title - Describe your intentions, Identify what and where the problem is, and post the relavent code - finally, give the appropriate feedback and appreciation to those who helped.

Its a good FAQ - and should be read by all. Good Luck

Re members who access threads thru email notification messages may not be able to see those links either.

CajunCenturion, I saw you discussion with TedSmith. I always log in through emails - and the forum automatically detects me - I guess that I at some point must have choosen to store a cookie. I tried to look in my profile - but I can't see that it is something that I can turn on/off.

Anyone on the topic of turning automatically login on/off?

You are quite correct - a cookie is stored on your machine and utilized if, when you logged in, you chose the "Remember Me" option (checkbox). Other than to delete the cookie, I do not know how to turn it off. Good Luck
