I would like some expertise to give me an advice regarding a project.
We have an client that wants to keep track of whats going on in his 4 shops. They want to be able to have cameras and know whats going on at that particualry moment. They also want to know how much have they produced that day.
Now my question, is it possible to do this using Internet VPNs? What is the recommend technology for this kind of feature?

Thanks

Simple answer - yes.

More complicated answer - if each have standard ADSL broadband they effectively can run 256K between themselves and "head end" don't forget ADSL uplink speed is only 256K. You can do fully meshed VPNs so each site has a link to the others but I find that too complicated to start off with.. One shop is probably the head office anyway so it would make sense for the traffic to go there.

Bearing in mind the bandwidth limitation if the cameras are low bandwidth and the data files and hundreds of MB it should work.. you just need the software to handle it.

thanks PeterHurst.

I suppose the best way could be buying this new VPN routers and connect them all together.
