I have 4 reports. Each are reporting monthly data.
3 of the reports have the same 2 fields to link on, dbid and projid. the 4th report only has taskid, which does relate back to the dbid and projid.
For this, I made a cross reference, that looks something like this:
Dbid Projid taskid
1 25 50
1 25 51
1 25 52
1 25 53
1 26 54
1 26 55
1 26 56
2 23 18
2 24 92
2 25 93
2 25 94
2 25 95
My thought was to make a new main report based on this table and bring in the 4 reports as sub reports, linking the first 3 with the dbid and proj id, the third with the taskid.
The problem I am seeing in just bringing in the first report is that it is repeating each month over and over again. I think this is because I really need a cross reference as above but with each record having each possible month permeated out in a massive reference control list. I do have a control table of every possible month.
My question is how do I create this massive lookup of all the records above, but flushed out for every possible date and every possible record? Any ideas? Is this the way to accomplish this, or am I completely nuts and off the deep end?
I appreciate any help. I am going to cross post this in the Query section, in case the help I really need is the creating of a massive query like I am thinking. I hope that is ok.
