I am having a variety of problems I can't seem to isolate and sort out.

1. My machine has been crashing a lot. The event log always has 2 errors that correlate to the crash. The services are dcfssvc and ptssvc. I have been able to decifer that these are associated to my kodak dx3500 dig camera. When I disable them I am fine, but with no camera

2. I have an "unknown PCI device" in device manager that I can't seem to bring on line and don't know what component it is related to on my machine. Except for the camera everything seems ok. Would a USB camer be a PCI device?

3. In my monitor settings in device manager I consistently have 3 (yes three) Default monitors intalled and 1 plug and play monitor. I uninstall the other monitors (the Plug and play is the actuall monitor) but they always come back.

I keep uninstalling and reinstalling the camera and updating drivers for the monitor and video card, but wonder am I even looking in the right place.

Any words of wisdom help appreciated. by the way.... windows 2000 professional OS

The unknown pci device is probably some on-board component. You should have drivers or inf files for it on the cd that came with the motherboard.

As for the monitors, make sure you do not have some weird settings in the video card properties.
