I have a cs1000 5.0 and currently use 3 digit sys speed dialing. We are looking to convert to 4 digit sys speed dialling. Can this be done? ie. stor 600 change to stor 1600?

Thanks

In LD18, make the SIZE 1000 or above, and all existing entries will become four digits. Entry 101 will become 0101, etc.

600 will not become 1600, it will become 0600

You could go in and change them all. I've scripted changes like this often.

No 1000 is the largest, but you can always build another one

Damn GH, I thought I was going crazy

I read that once the size is defined I should not change the size. What is the worse that could happen?

was told in one database/mac class years ago, not to do a change there on size..... out it and rebuild or risk corruption.

Okay so to recap, I cannot have 4 digit speed dials because system only allows 000 - 999, is this correct?

You can have a zero in front, 0000-0999 when you input the number but if you print them out it drops the zero

I suppose it's worth asking: Is it that you want more than 1000 entries or you want tp publish these are four digits?

Cause, you could create an FFC for System Speed Call that included a 1 at the end.

So, if your FFC for system Speed was *7, you could make it *71

But that does not help if all you use are SSC Buttons.

No, I need to speed dial from 1000 and up. I am trying to nest my speed dials using FFC code sspu #5 but I need to get dial tone before I can enter the 2nd speed call entry.
IE. I press sys speed then 1 and this send #5 but now I wuold like to enter 217 so the net effect is user hits sys speed 1217. Not working yet. Anybody have any ideas or am I flogging a dead horse?

Hi GH, After thinking about this I don't think any of this will work because I currently have entries from 001 - 700 and if I use *71700 I will still be calling 700. I need to be able to dial 0001 - 1999
