I have a customer who wants to do 4 digit dialing through a CO group over a PRI. They had digital centrex before and this is what they used. They now have a BCM 400 and PRI and want to make this work again. The CO has a DMS 100. They tell me just to make a routing table using PRI but tag it as public. So that is basically what i did. Made a destination code to match the digits, send over a route using the PRI and marking the DN type as private. I am waiting for the CO to program on their side. Will this work or will i need more programming.

That should be all that is required. Your route type will most likely need to be public - you referenced both public and private. Depending on what the CO is looking for, you may need to play around with call typing to get the call to complete. The CO should tell you what they are looking for.

Yeah you would think so wouldn't you. haha. Ive been doing some reading and it seems i need a MCDN license which i have. Also i believe i may need to input a Private Network ID. I am still waiting for more info from the CO.

I am doing the exact same thing here (4 digit going out on PRI) to the CO as part of a Cetrex Group on a BCM 400.
Service Type TIE
DN Type PRIVATE

You will also needs to define the Private Network length as 4 digits in Dial Plan under General Settings

Forgot to mention - I have no MCDN license for this as it is not needed.
