I have 2 fax numbers that I can not 4 digit dial to, from any fax on the network, only 10 digit. Is there a CLS or something I am missing? Thanks,

thats pretty "open" there when you say on-net. what pbx and rls? post a working and non-working TNB.

I'd get on those fax lines with an analog phone, dial another internal 4 digit number (call an internal phone with a display), and confirm they are the DNs you think they are.

So, if you are sitting next to that machine and dial 4014, what happens? It rings?

I'm betting the problem is only from other locations. In that case, this is a call routing/CDP steering code issue.

You are correct. Within the location it works. If it is at another networked location it does not work. Would this be something the vendor would take care of? The user said it worked for years then all of a sudden it did not work any longer. We can fax to other numbers off site 4 digit. Anymore ideas? Thanks,

Unless someone other than the vendor knows your ESN/CDP plan, they are it.

It's not the TN programming, but you could prove it by temporarily changing the DN of that machine to a DN you recently took out of service, but worked from other sites. If other sites can then call it, you know those other sites are missing the required programming to dial 4014

I did change the DN and no change. I will work with the vendor. Thanks,
