If I am asked to prepare a graphic piece for a newspaper puplication and they say they will work with the 4 color format, does that mean to set up my pallette in CMYK verses RGB? Is there anything else I should do to insure that the colors I work with come out correctly in the print process?

Thanks

Hi,

Yes, anything that goes through a printing process must be set to CMYK. Also when you are doing your colors make sure that you don't see a little yellow warning trianlge (! mark inside it) next to the color, that means that that color won't print out the way you see it on screen. You will see that triangle on both the colors palette and if you just click on the foreground or background color box on the tools palette. If you do see it, then simply click on that triangle and it will alter the color slightly to a color that will be the closest to print color.

Hope this helps!
