Make sure you have installed Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 and above (with Microsoft Virtual Machine option).

I ran into this after upgrading DSS console software and was advised by NAI that if you have a machine (laptop) with SnifferPro 4.5 and the DSS console software loaded, SnifferPro must be the last one loaded. So, to upgrade the console, you must uninstall them in the opposite order they were loaded in, load the new console, then reload SnifferPro.
