4.5 11C DB to cs1000 7.5

I am trying to install an 11C database rls 4.5 to a new install of a CS1000E rls 7.5 MG1010. The applications have been deployed and I am going into the cs1000 edit in software deployment. When I try to upload the ARCH/DB from the 11C it says invalid DB. I can upload an edd which is a U file and it accepts it , yet there is no change in the database. Any suggestions !!

Your database should have been installed during deployment so it could convert it from small system to large system TN's. They actually recommend doing an Archive in the old software.

I tried before deployment with same result , saying invalid db and it is an archive from the old software.

Are you reusing the same dongle?

No. The CS100E is new linux based switch and was not ordered against the old 11C. It was ordered as new.

Yes, it could be. I remember on the Option 11's I could always load a database from another switch and it would take,although it would be the same release but in this case you may be right.

The dongle is not the problem. If you upgrade an 11C to 1000E you get a new dongle...

M1spezi is correct, I was thinking Pentium IV's. You do get a new dongle because it is all considered a large system now.
