4.3.3.9

I have read a few bad comments about maintenance pack 8. We just got a maintenance pack in for our new S80, which is presently at 4.3.3.0. This maintenance pack is to bring us up to 4.3.3.9. Anyone got any comments on maintence pack 9. Pro's, Con's, Bad vibes, anything?? Learn something everyday or you wasted a day of your life.

I've got ML 8 running on an S80, SP2 and several other servers. No issues. I've seen very little bad about ML8. What have you seen ?

ML 9 is too new for me.

I have seen some bad issues with ML8 in tek-tips... Not heard anything about ML9.... Learn something everyday or you wasted a day of your life.

There were two things, if I recall correctly. The only one I can remember (because it affected me) was that Netscape broke if you had an "older" version of Netscape (the version I was running was installed in February). Something about the libc.a that comes with Netscape not working with that maintenance level.

I fixed it by upgrading my version of Netscape.

I can't recall the other problem.

I have searched all through this site and cannot find the thread with the phrase that was in the discussion about ML8. (I had copied the section and forwarded the info to a colleague, so I know I searched on the correct wording.)
