4.3.3 64 bit application upgrade to 5L question?

Hi All,
I was curious if anyone has a 64 bit application running on AIX 4.3.3? If you have done an upgrade to 5L? All the Redbook's and any other information I can find says that if you are running 32 bit apps. on 4.3.3 you are fine. However if you are running 64 bit applications on 4.3.3 there is a problems with going to AIX 5L. Has anyone else had more experience with this and if so how tuff was the work around to get those 64 bit applications to work on AIX 5L?

i think you have to recompile this application on AIX 5L...
