I've got a client who is about to renew/change their mobile phone provider and they have one eye on the mobile softphone application that I believe is included in V4.2.

I know it has to be Windows Mobile 6 but can anyone tell me what version of Symbian O/S they need so they can take advantage of the softphone application?

I don't want them to get new phones that won't work with the softphone app.

(I know you have to shoot me after you've told me)

I would put this to your Vendor/Distributor and see if Avaya will give a heads up on the info you need.

Anyone giving out info regarding 4.2 with be violating their NDA with Avaya.

The One-X client it is already available on the CM platform. I'm not saying it is being ported to the IP Office, and I'm not gonna tell you it isn't. But if you already know the answer to that question then the answer to the one above is:

Avaya One-X Client “Single Mode” (GSM) operation, in conjunction with mobile technology ‘Symbian’ Single-Mode Version 4.0 or Windows Mobile 5 technology.
