4.11 date and time changes after re-boot

4.11 nw server date and time changes to 1988 after a re-boot. I can fix it with set time command, but why does this happen. I do not know if this server was y2k'ed...thanks
 
Check your machine system time (in BIOS). There was also a problem a few Service Packs ago that would mess up time on certain 4.x servers if they were soft reset instead of being cold booted (it was a BIOS problem).
