4.1 to 4.1 XC Voice Mail Light doesn't work 2

I upgraded an MICS from 4.1 to 4.1 XC and now when users get a voice mail, the lights on the T7316(not E) do not light when they get a voice mail. It definitely worked prior to the upgrade.

You need a higher release of 4.1XC to make the 'E' phones light. Early release 4.1 won't turn the light on.

That light should not have worked until either 6.0 or 6.1 I forget which. That is when the E series were fully compatible. If you had it working on 4.1 then you got extreamly lucky. Maybe someone else can shed some light on this.

Lights on 'E' phones will work on 4.1, but when you check the SP code in Maintenance for the system version you need to see G15 at the end of the number string. Earlier releases will not turn the light on.

Thanks everybody. I will check the release when I get back there. Sounds like that will be the reason.

The phones are the early version of T7316(not E).

I meant to type 'T' instead of 'E'. Either one should light with the correct software.

i've had non e model t7316's work on 8x24's with no problems and we all know that is way out dated. I can remember having to swap out a phone and I didn't have a 10 button so I used the non e and 6.1 is when you could actually check the model type in maintenance and it would show t7316e...
