I am trying to get a BCM 400 to register via SIP to NRS. The IP address of the BCM does not show up on NRS (Configuration > Gateway Endpoints), which leads me to believe registration is failing.

I'm following Nortel Document NN49000-306. Leaves quite a bit to ones imagination...

Key info:
BCM 400 rel 4.0
CS1k rel 4.5
SIP domain for NRS & BCM match
SIP transport (udp) & port (5060) match
BCM SIP Proxy: NRS sig serv TLAN IP (I've also tried node IP)
BCM SIP URI MAP: matches map used on CS1k which has registered to NRS successfully
NRS gateway endpoint: BCM configured as "dynamic SIP" & No Authentication

Does NRS offer a CLI? The GUI gives little (if any) troubleshooting information.

If anyone can share some ideas or insight I'd be very thankful.

I should also point out that the BCM is already registered to NRS via h.323. This is a lab environment, and we'd like to test out both protocols. Any reason the h.323 registration to NRS would prevent SIP from working?

Are you statically configuring the endpoint IP and info in the NRS? BCM doesn't support dynamic endpoint registration with SIP, only H.323. I don't know why they chose to go static with the SIP implementation.

Anyways, define a static SIP endpoint in NRS with the BCM information, and enter the SS TLAN IP as a SIP proxy server in the BCM and you should be OK.

Thanks biv343. Working like a champ now.
