3x8 with DR5.1 T7406

Hello, Thanks in advance for your assistance. I have a 3x8 with DR5.1 there are only 2 7406's on the switch. Problem: There is noise on all lines and intercom.
Any suggestions?

If your talking about the T7406's that are cordless. Maybe the base unit is causing the noise. You may have to relocate the base unit. In its current location there may be some interference. I think that might cure your problem. Hope that helps.

Also try putting the dip swichtes into the alternate position which will change the operating frequency. If you are close to a pager tower or cell tower etc, the 7406 may not work at all! My first install on a 7406 was right under a pager tower. Tower was about 75 ft high and didn't effect the analog cordless at all. But it made really wild noise on the 7406 and made voices sound like Daffy Duck! This phenomenom is called 'mutual interferance'. It is a common occurrance where two or more RF devices emit intersecting feilds. Try looking for other RF souces such as flourescent ballasts, cordless pricing machines, security devices or even an air conditioner.
