3rd Party VM Options for ACS 8.0

I hsve an existing Partner prospect with ACS R3 and external Partner Mail R2. We want to upgrade the processor to R8. However, the Partner matrix says that Partner Mail is not supported above ACS 5.0.

Does R8 support 3rd party VM system at all or was there some other reason(s) that doomed Partner Mail?

What 3rd party VM works best with ACS R8?

Any 3rd party VM that can understand the mode codes will work. Some of the codes changed, and there is no way to change the programming on your old Partner Mail.

Is there a reason you don't want to consider Partner Messaging? (slot availability perhaps?)

I have used a lot of Duvoice and am very happy with it - but the pricing on the newer Partner Messaging isn't that bad, and the refurbished stuff is even better - I would consider those as well if as TTT says you have a slot available.

ESNA technologies has one that is called TOLEE, pretty funky thing with the option of integration into the desktop but of course more expensive then the Messaging. It integrates with lots of systems so if you change the phone system then it can adapt. I personally don't like it much it is just one of those personal things it can do too much and can be screwed up easily by the customer but their tech support is great.

Can you do Group Mailboxes on a ACS R8.0 and a 3rd pary VM? I know that Partner Messaging does not support group boxes. But Partner Mail did.

Describe "group mailboxes" - for voicemail coverage of auto attendant transfers to calling groups, the Partner Messaging certainly does it. What is your senario?

The person might be thinking of the Partner Voice Messaging.

If it ain't broke, I haven't fixed it yet.

I have done a lot of good coverage things with DuVoice that you couldn't do with Part Mail VS - but as TTT says, what do you mean by "group mailboxes?
