Our school district is phasing in Cisco VOIP. We now have about 15 sites connected to one Call Manager. The local tech manager (each school) originally had full access to CCM but the District feared that a tech might inadvertently make an error that could impact one or more sites.

In short, we are looking for a software or CCM configuration that would give the techs limited control such as: set up of new phones, name changes, removal of phone.

Anyone know of a solution?

Thanks.

CallManager has a feature called Multilevel Adminstration Access. That sounds like what you're looking for.

Unfortunately this S/W does not provide a multi-site access i.e. allow the tech person to screw up their own site only. You can restrict their access to phones, names etc but every phone every name.

Hmm...that's a tough one. I don't know of a way to resolve that problem.

you could give each site their own cluster :)
(ok, not entirely helpful)

but honestly, you get audit logs with a unique userid - that should be enough to fire^D^D^D^D discipline them.
