In the last 2 weeks I've been working on installing some standard (3rd party) SIP phones on my sv8500. I've now made many soft-phones and hard-phones work, in that they make and receive phone calls. But there is one more unresolved problem. I can't make a call that leaves the system (outgoing call) via LCR. I can dial stations across ccis to other systems. I can even call stations in other system across PRI, but when I want to make local or long-distance calls, I get a fast busy. Does it have something to do with 2nd dial-tone? Any ideas? The manual is scaring me: "Standard SIP terminal cannot support tone control from the system, for example second dial tone (SDT), Special Dial Tone (SPDT) and Service Set Tone (SST). Therefore, Standard SIP terminal is not allowed to dial, depending on service. In this case, SIP terminal is disconnected immediately."
However, I find it extremely hard to believe that the SV8500 would not allow 3rd party SIP phones to dial out from the system.
