We recently upgraded from CM 5.2.1 to CM 6.1. Voicemail is an AVST CallXpress using SIP stations for integration. We replaced SES with SMGR/ASM as is required (although, SES worked fine). Integration was easy and works well in all respects but one. When using the feature where CallXpress calls a mobile phone when a new message arrives (via an ISDN PRI in CM), I am unable to alter the OUTBOUND CallerID. The correct extension of the SIP station making that notification call shows up on the mobile phone, but regardless of how I try and manipulate it in the public-unknown numbering table, I cannot alter the number in ANY way. I can’t make it go away; I can’t prepend anything to it, nothing. They only difference I saw was when I sent it out an AT&T trunk to a mobile phone with AT&T service, I got the extension. When I sent it out an AT&T trunk to a mobile phone with Verizon service, I saw the area code and prefix prepended to the extension. (But, I did NOT have that built in the pub-unk table, so I’m not sure where it came from.)

The SIP stations are registered with ASM just fine and the CallerID IS the correct extension for the SIP station making the outbound call. I just don’t know why I can’t alter it with the pub-unk table as I would a “normal” station. I’m assuming that it has something to do with the fact these SIP stations are not Avaya “AST” stations. But, I’d think there would be something in CM that would allow me to change outbound CallerID on 3rd-party SIP endpoints whether they are AVST ports, or 3rd-party SIP phones. This is said to have worked previously via the SES using the pub-unk table.

Or, is this one of those things that needs to be done via ASM’s DigitConversionAdapter?

Thanks in advance!
