I'm looking for a 3rd party device to use for OPX circuits (Off premise extensions, I think it's also referred to as an 0213C circuit) between 4 IP Offices. My customer is in a very rural area and I'm still in shock that there is no way to do an SCN, but it appears we will have to reuse their current OPX circuits between locations.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations for a 3rd party device that will work? Avaya has discontinued the range extension unit (material code 107849390) that was once offered. I was thinking about the Viking product LLA-4 (Long Loop adapter), but was hoping for some additional input before I started putting all my eggs in that one basket.

I truly appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks!

Technology has moved on a lot since it was done that way, I for one am not surprised Avaya don't have an offering anymore. How do they get net access? Is VPN a no go? :)

If the OPX runs through a central office, then an option should be to get an OPX from the telco itself, in which case it would be the telco who is providing the loop extension (via a loop extender e.g. battery boost and a vfr e.g. gain) as required.

I used to engineer that kind of work at one point...
