Hi peoples,

I was just checking out some sites, like:
and noticed a lot of them have three-dimensional graphics in them, but they are not really slow at loading, what programs can do this for flash? and are they able to be imported directly into flash?
If so, how do you move them around in flash, or is that done externally?
I'm really interested in 3D stuff at the moment, so if anyone has any good links please post them! ^-^

Thanks heaps, Seeya!

swift 3d kitten..you can import vectors from illustrator into swift..create your 3d animation and import to flash as swf..pretty small file sizes..or you can just make your text with swift..however you choose..

usually in the 3D flash files, there are smudged bits, are these done in swift 3D too? or how would you do these?
(when objects move... then become graded smudges....)
Thanks heaps, Seeya!

Hey kitten, are the smudges you're talking about the fading trails left by some objects when they move? If so, i dont think you can do this in Swift 3d (I have a copy and although great for 3d shapes it is a little restrictive on 'special effects' etc) but there shouldnt be much problem adding these later in flash, after import. Swift 3d exports its files directly as frames in flash which can be taken apart/edited however you wish. I would highly recommend buying a copy as there is no easier way of getting decent 3d onto your site. If ya want, check out this site for an example of what i've achieved so far using Swift.

Hope this helps ;-) Nick (Web Designer)

thanks for the advice :)

To do the smudgies you would probably use duplicatemc and then programatically change the alpha of each mc that was duplicated...say, the duplicate mc's play a frame or two behind the main one, and they fade out...there's your smudgies...:-X
