3D XYZ Scatter charting capability 1

Is there a way of plotting data in a 3D XYZ scatter plot in MS Excel 2003.

3d scatter plots are not availalble as default, but if somebody could point me into the right direction. Is a user defined plot the right solution.

Any help is appreciated.
