My old laptop reached a point to where it would not save a simple edit on a 15MB map (3D)running a process memory usage of 720MB. Bought new computer with XeonProcessor X5472 3.00GHz, 4GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz, two 500GB SATA Hard drives, and a 768MB nVidia QuadroFX 4600 video card. This new computer will not do a simple edit-save on an earlier versions of the same map. Something is haywire. Dell says things like "corrupted file"(--laptop will work on it). "32bit Windows XPpro limit", "Illustrator program issue" or something obvious like "gee, it is a large file". It will get a lot larger. Anyone had the same problem? I don't need a new computer I can't map with.
