Morning all
I have recently tried installing a 3dlabs VP760 into a Dell Optiplex GX240. At first everything seem'd to be going well. Untill the driver requested a restart, Windows shut down and the monitor clicked off, but, the monitor never clicked back on. I dont think its the driver because after replacing the new card with the old one it all worked, so I removed the driver. I then tried the card again, and hey presto it worked again, untill I restarted the machine (this time i didnt add any software at all), and again the monitor clicked off and didnt come back on.
It appears to only work first time, then when power is turned off and on again it dont work. The only way I can get it to work again is to remove the VP760 and let it sit for a couple of hours, after this you put it in the machine and it works again......untill you restart or turn the machine off (again).
Could it be anything to do with voltages?
Anyone have any ideas?
Steve
