Hi there,
I have just done a quickie, if this is the basic effect you are after, then I will send you the fla..the land is crude and only for demo, could be anything, text, etc...Rotation effect speed can be faster or slower by extending the tweening, Clouds, day-night shadows etc can be added in other layers...hope it is some help...

Howard ! I would want letters A J D E F or just the word DEF would that be possible, and what would you need to do for you to be able to do it to my lettering for me ?

Hi, sorry for delay, grandchildren stopping over...HELP..Hi

here's the fla, just added a few simple layers..you could use a small scanned gif file of the earth, infact anything. You can give a perspective effect N-S but not E-W..
Anyway it's a starting point.....
