We currently have a Coax network. I want to upgrade the network to Cat5 wiring and with the above mentioned 3Com hub. All my network cards at this stage do support 100Mb. My question.. Will the replacement of of the coax give the network the ability to function at more than 10Mb.. Thanx

As long as your cards have RJ45 sockets or the transeiever and you use cat 5 and you plug into a star design hub or switch over thinnet bus you will achieve 100mbs if thats the speed of your cards. Bear in mind with a hub its a 100mbs shared for all and broadcasts also share this medium to so if you have a mucky protocol on there I would recommend buying a 3300 switch instead if your budget allows but you will get better performance and if one PC has a bad/broken cable your network will still operate and you can forget about termination etc.
