Revently picked up one of these devices. No cables came with it. Dont recognize all the cables in back
-2 are male/female cascade cables.
the other I am not aware, like Male 9pin conncttr, written above "Console 9609,8,1,N". The other I have never seen. Says RPS above and is on the left next to the AC power cable. Definitely looks like a data cable of some sort. The other question is what can I hope to acheive with a device such as this. My understanding is not much without a management module. New to networking so I would appreciate any help. Thanks for your patience.

The 9-pin serial connection is how you set it up. 3COM uses the crossover serial cable, same as a direct connection cable, like what comes with laplink. I picked one up at a used computer place for $2. A regular serial cable will not work. With that plugged in you open hyper terminal and using the 9600, 8, 1, N settings access the hub. The RPS connector is for a redundant power supply. Depending on how it is currently setup you may just be able to plug your computers into it and have everything work fine. Otherwise you'll need to pick up a cable and confiure it. If it's similar to the 3C16406 then while it's booted you can go into hyper terminal and hit enter a few times and it will ask for a login which by default is admin. Then it will ask for a password. Typically there isn't one unless it has been set.
