Hello,
I've got 1260kb connection going through my 3Com Office DSL/Cable router.
On one computer, where the modem was originally installed and activated by the technicians of the cable company, there is no problem.
On the other computer however, where I do my gaming I do have problems.
When I play BF1942, and I update the servers. I have trouble connecting. If the first connection I choose doesn't connect for various reasons (servers if full, etc.) then I lose my internet connection and I have to reboot.
In another game, CoD, when I refresh the servers, it refreshes for about 5-8 seconds or so, and then stop. I am unable to connect to any servers, and when I close CoD, I have lost access to internet via Internet Explorer as well.
Another problem is sometimes when I'm downloading some stuff, say over 120kb on Kazaa, I will lose connection eventually. It usually take about 20 minutes and then its lost.
Whenever I lose connection in the above situations, all I have to do is reboot, and then I'm good.
I don't know how to insert images, but heres a link to whow my setup is:
Do you guys have any ideas of something that I may need to change.
Just some side information if its needed:
my cable company is dynamic IPPoE and I had to have a certain MAC adress to make it work.
