3Com RAS 1500: Cracking unknown password

I recently purchased a RAS 1500 secondhand with no documentation regarding the password. I was hoping there was a way to crack the password so I can erase the flash.
3com's website doesn't seem to have any info regarding this.

if you connect via console, which should be left open by default (RS232 connection), you can perform a delete config, which will remove everything, resetting back to factory defaults
