Hi,

I have a 3Com OfficeConnect ADSL Wireless 11g Firewall Router. I would like to connect to my home LAN from work.

Does any know how I can set it up for VPN access?

There is only 1 mention of it in the pony 3Com documentation and that it saying they don't recommend it!

Thanks in advance.

Gavin.

Do you plan to make a site to site connection or a user to site connection ?

Hi Depavs,

I am unsure of what you mean but basically this is what I want to achieve:

My router at home allowing VPN access in. I can then create a VPN connection at work which connects me to my home LAN. I can then use RDP to access my PC and Laptop at home.

Hope that helps.

Gavin.

Wich type of router-firewall do you have at each side ? (office and home) one is a 3com but the other ?

IPSec vpn between 2 3Com firewall work fine.

Hi,

I do not have a 3Come firewall at work - it is another brand but I have already configured it for outgoing VPN connections as I do connect to other sites already.

I was hoping within my 3Com router I could simply enable inbound traffic on port 1723 which is the VPN port but I don't know how to do it.

Thanks.

Gavin.
