We've been experiencing data corruption with our accounting department's software program. After contacting the software vendor we were told that they have had similar problems with 3COM nics and their program, running
on 100 Mbs switches.
We are using this model 3Com NIC's: 3C905B-TX-NM
and are using Cisco Catalyst 3524 switches...

Has anyone heard anything about this compatibility issue?

We experienced problems with slow transfers and intermittent login's with this combination. It was corrected by turning off the spanning tree option on the switches. Haven't had any problems since.

Just Enabling "spanning-tree portfast" on all links to this NIC. Don't enable fast on Switch to Switch links !
