3com and Intel main board

I try build pc system now...i used P4 1.7 Ghz and Intel D845EBG2 Mainboard ....and it no problem...but now , when i put 3com Entherlink Network Adapter (model: 3C905C-TX-M) my system can't boot..My system hang after system testing my ide device.I tried use the network card to another computer ,it's can run properly..so now , can i know what the problem and how to solve this problem..TQ

Have you tried the NIC in a different slot? CitrixEngineer@yahoo.co.uk

Some boards will not except a NIC in cetain slots. I would check with the manufacturer.

Try installing the driver before you put the card in. Ive never seen a new nic cause a computer to be unbootable. 3Com isnt my favorite company. Sometimes there is a driver update thing that comes with the NIC that you can install before putting the card in so the OS can recognize the card when it boots up. If you do not like my post feel free to point out your opinion or my errors.
