Hi, Installing a BCM400 with 16 IP phones. The client did not purchase a Baystack switch, but opted for the 3Com 4400. When we connect the splitters to the IP phones, then to the Ethernet cable, nothing happens.

Has anyone any experience on whether this set up will work. The splitter cables we are using are PDPS401/RA-NRTL.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks

The 3Com 4400 support 802.3af. Are the splitters supporting this? If so, you should not have any issues.

your ip phones have to be POE compatible. the early versions of nortel phones won't work.
