3Com 4400 : Do I update firmware & DeviceManager?

Hi all,

I am a bit confused about which version of firmware and what device manager file is.

So I have 3Com 4400 V2.02. This version does not come with VLAN or system backupConfig save

Before I upgrade firmeware, I want to save it. But I dont have option to save current firmware. In order to have VLANs, it looks like I have to upgrade to version 4 or 5.

Would it be safe to upgrade to 2.02 to version 5?
Do I have to upgrade DeviceManager as well? Which versions?
