3com 3c905c nic not able to start

I'm having a reoccuring problem with 3com's 3c905c integrated nic card. In device manager, I get a yellow ! on this device. Under properties, I get an error code 10 device cannot be started. I'm running windows 2000 pro on a hp e-pc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

download latest driver from 3com.com
delete the device in network manager
reinstall the driver
change the slot
update the bios

if still don't work...
run a Dos dignostic problem and run a self test

If still don't work call 3Com tech support
