3Com 3C17707 - 4070 Switch question

Hi all,

Just a simple question on a 4070 switch.

When a PSU is in Slot one, there are not issues, and the PSU Status led is green for PSU number 1. However, when i move the PSU from slot 1 to slot 2, the switch boots, but the PSU status led for PSU 2 stays amber. No error message appears in IOS. Is this normal? Do I need to have a PSU in slot 1 in order to place a PSU in slot 2?
