I've just bought a 3Com 3824 to replace our previous 10/100 core switch. This works fine and we have had no performance issues.
However the switch has not picked up an IP from the DHCP even though it was straight from 3Com and plugged into our network when first powered up. I've checked the DHCP and the switches MAC address is not in there. This leads me to think that it has a fixed IP.
However, I haven't got a serial cable to connect to it - I know I could buy one but if it has a default IP (e.g. 168.?.. etc) then I might be able to use web-config via that IP to change its IP.
Does anyone know what that default fixed IP is?
