3COM 3300 Switch deing picked up as Generic IP evice

I have a pile of 3Com switches in my network. Some 3300 some 3300XM some 4200. When I run the Network Supervisor software that comes with the switches, I get a couple of the 3300's that are seen as a Generic IP Device, and not as a switch. All others work fine. I have tried reseting the switch, I have updated Firmware, and even tried a reload of firmware, and no luck. Anyone with a thought?
