3Com 1000 Switch Lost Password

Does anyone know how to reset the switch to the orginal usernames and passwords. Or does anyone know a method to upgrade the firmware without logging into the telnet management?

I am installing a Fiber Module and I need to upgrade the firmware before I install it.

Hi,

You need not do telnet to upgrade the firmware.
You can access your switch by typing the ip address of your switch in internet explorer.

From there you have to select the options.
Then install a tftp server.
In the directory assigned for tftp put the firmware in that directory.

Rest you try R&D.
